Golfer with Down Syndrome and a Big Heart

Saturday June 27, 2009

Brad Hennefer, a 20-year-old man with Down syndrome, travels around the country helping young children with Down syndrome get inspired to start golfing. As part of the Brad Hennefer Golf For Life Foundation, Brad has inspired scores of other children with Down syndrome to play the game of golf.

And because of his work, he may be chosen as a final representative in a People magazine’s “All-Stars Among Us.” This contest highlights regular people who have made their community a better place to live.

According to the Cherry Hill Sun newspaper, Brad feels that being chosen would be:
A dream come true and is almost as rewarding as inspiring families and their children with his story.
The contest results will be posted on June 29th and I for one will be hoping to see Brad's name listed!
