Ultrasound is increasing being used during pregnancy to screen for soft markers that indicate a chance that the fetus may have a chromosome problem such as Down syndrome. While ultrasound cannot diagnose Down syndrome, some findings can indicate an increased risk for the baby to have a chromosome problem. Was one of these findings see on your ultrasound?
